Last month I shared a new journey I was on. I hope suicide is something that you, or anyone you know, have never had to deal with. Or have you?

During my life…attempted…and completed suicide, affected me more often than I could ever want or anticipate. (Actually, even one time is too much!)  This is a national problem that continues to grow. It can affect anyone. The best way to deal with it is to understand how much influence you have.

For far too long, suicide is a subject we don’t talk about, yet talking is the key. Understand, I’m not saying we can simply stop it.  There is no “magic cure.”

Almost universally, those who consider it don’t think they will hurt anyone but themselves – even though it strongly impacts at least six people. It’s crucial to understand that we are not alone.  The key is knowing who to turn to.
