Christmas isn’t far off!

One thing I love about Avon is the education they offer with their products. As I mentioned before, how you use them is just as important as the quality of the products themselves. Below I share seven tips and why they make a difference. Try them out. It may not take 10 years off your appearance but doing this consistently will make a difference!

Ring and pinky fingers. What most of us don’t realize is how much pressure our index and middle fingers have. They tend to rub products into our skin and that’s not what we want! Use your ring and pinky fingers because they have fewer pressure points and are ideal to apply everything from cleansers to makeup to your skin.

Lukewarm water. When water is too hot, it dries your skin. Water too cold closes your pores. Lukewarm water is the best because it opens your pores to get a deep cleansing without drying out your skin.

Mask. Applying a mask 2-3 times a week for about 20 minutes truly brings out your best complexion. Don’t have the time? Why not take those 20 minutes to meditate, read a book, or answer texts? This is a great time to do anything that doesn’t put you in front of others! Another question is what kind of mask? There are numerous options and it depends on what your skin needs. (I see another blog on types of masks coming soon!)

Neck. Too often the attention to our faces makes us forget about our necks. What’s the point of having your face look young if your neck looks old? Use upward motions in this area to help counteract the pull of gravity.

Chest. If we only wore high collared clothes, this part might be unnecessary. But low-cut V- and U-shaped tops widen our range of looks and are very feminine. As with necks, upward strokes bring out the best in your chest!

Ears. Even more neglected than necks and chests are ears. Remember, sun damage happens to ears as easily as any other part of your body, even if you have long hair. Keep them pretty by protecting them with products containing an SPF factor of at least 30.

Face massager. As we age, lymphatic fluids tend to build up under our skin (baggy eyes anyone?) which is natural. Your face roller does so many things. First, it decreases puffiness by moving accumulated fluid buildup. Second, it distributes and gets your moisturizer cream deeper into the pores where it does the most good.  It also helps with stuffy sinuses and cools and soothes your skin. Finally, it stimulates blood flow to your face which can make your skin look brighter and feel firmer.

Have any questions – or question what I’ve written here? Don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you!
